Mark has been Associate Director at the Ensemble Theatre in Kirribilli since 2005. He first worked at the theatre in 2002 playing the title role in JAPES, directed by Sandra Bates, and since then has appeared on stage in the Ensemble’s productions of RABBIT HOLE, THE DRAWER BOY, ART, AFTERPLAY & THE YALTA GAME and AUNTIE & ME.

In 2006 he directed and performed the title role in HAMLET. In 2008 Mark adapted and directed YOU TALKIN' TO ME? DIARY OF AN OLYMPIC CABBIE and directed Schiller’s MARY STUART. His other directing credits for Ensemble include TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE, THE BUSY WORLD IS HUSHED, HALPERN & JOHNSON, DERRIDA IN LOVE, THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG, THE RETREAT FROM MOSCOW and Warren Mitchell’s one man show WARREN GARNETT & ALF MITCHELL IN…

In 2009 he directed LITTLE NELL, ABIGAIL’S PARTY and THE COW JUMPED OVER THE MOON for the Ensemble and appeared in Cormac McCarthy’s THE SUNSET LIMITED.
